Aygun Bashirova was born in 1984.
In 2005, she graduated from the Faculty of Law of Baku State University with a bachelor’s degree in law.
In 2013, she graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a master’s degree in Public Law.
She launched her career at the General Department of Legislation in 2007 and starting from 2017, worked as the head of the Department of Administrative and military normative acts. Meanwhile, she was a member of the Appeals Council of the Ministry of Justice.
In 2019-2023, she served as an expert at the European Committee on Legal Cooperation.
In 2018, she was awarded Medal for Distinction in Public Service by virtue of Presidential Decree.
She was appointed as the Deputy Executive director of the Center for Legal Examination and Legislative Initiatives on February 15, 2023.
She is fluent in English, Russian and Turkish.
She is married and has three children.
